Body of Youth Found in Box in Hadapsar: Suspect Arrested

Pune, Hadapsar – In a shocking crime that has shaken the residents of Hadapsar, the body of a 24-year-old youth was found inside a box near the canal in Hingane Mala area on Friday evening. The gruesome discovery led to an immediate police investigation, resulting in the arrest of a suspect, Nizamuddin Patel (30), in connection with the murder.

Murder Linked to Financial Dispute

According to the Hadapsar police, the murder was the result of a financial dispute between the accused, Nizamuddin Patel, and the victim, Imran Yasin Patel, a 24-year-old resident of Undri Chowk, Kondhwa. The investigation revealed that Nizamuddin attacked Imran, hitting him on the head with an iron object, which caused his death on the spot.

Body Found in Box near Canal

The incident came to light when concerned citizens noticed a suspicious box near the canal in Hingane Mala, Hadapsar, on Friday evening. Upon opening the box, they found the lifeless body of Imran Patel. His hands and feet were tied with ropes, and the box was taped shut. The horrified residents immediately alerted the police, who rushed to the scene to investigate the crime.

Police Swiftly Identify the Victim

The body was initially unidentified, prompting the Hadapsar police, led by Deputy Commissioner of Police R. Raja and Assistant Commissioner Ashwini Rakh, to launch an investigation. After gathering information about missing persons in the area, the police learned that Imran Patel had been missing from Kondhwa since the previous evening. The family of the victim was notified, and they identified the body as that of Imran.

Arrest of the Accused

Further investigation revealed that Nizamuddin had called Imran the evening before the murder. During their meeting, the two had an argument over financial matters, which escalated into violence. Nizamuddin struck Imran with an iron object, leading to his death. In an attempt to cover up the crime, Nizamuddin tied Imran’s hands and feet, placed the body in a box, and disposed of it near the canal in Hingane Mala.

Upon discovering this information, the police swiftly apprehended Nizamuddin and placed him under arrest.

Investigation Ongoing

Senior Police Inspector Santosh Pande, Crime Branch Inspector Nilesh Jagdale, and other officers, including Assistant Police Inspector Arjun Kudale and Sub Inspector Mahesh Kawle, played crucial roles in the investigation and arrest. The police are continuing their investigation to determine whether others were involved in the crime and if there are any further motives behind the murder.
