
Ayodhya: The holy city of Ayodhya is adorned with decorations and spiritual fervor as it prepares to commemorate the first anniversary of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram Temple. The grand celebrations, scheduled from January 11 to 13, will feature a host of cultural and religious events. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the festivities on January 11 by performing the ‘Maha Abhishek’ ritual of Ram Lalla.
Ram Lalla was ceremoniously placed in the sanctum of the temple on January 22 last year. This year, according to the Hindu calendar, the ‘Pratishtha Dwadashi Utsav’ falls on January 11. The three-day celebration organized by the Ram Temple Trust will witness the participation of over 110 VIPs along with thousands of devotees.
Visuals from Ayodhya show throngs of devotees gathering around the temple premises, chanting bhajans and shlokas in devotion. The event promises a spiritual atmosphere enhanced by artistic performances. Renowned artists like Malini Awasthi, known as the ‘Folk Queen of India,’ playback singer and politician Anuradha Paudwal, and poet Kumar Vishwas are scheduled to perform during the celebrations.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings on this momentous occasion, stating on X (formerly Twitter), “Best wishes to all the countrymen on the first anniversary of the consecration of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. This temple, built after centuries of sacrifice, penance, and struggle, is a great heritage of our culture and spirituality. I am confident that this divine and magnificent Ram temple will become a great inspiration in the accomplishment of the resolution of a developed India.”
Detailed Schedule:
On January 11, the day will begin with an Agnihotra ceremony, accompanied by mantras from the Shukla Yajurveda. The rituals will take place in two sessions: from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. This will be followed by the chanting of six lakh Shri Ram Mantras, the recitation of the Ram Raksha Stotra, and the Hanuman Chalisa, creating a deeply devotional ambiance.
The celebrations aim to blend spirituality, culture, and community, drawing visitors from across the nation to witness the grandeur of this significant event. Local authorities have ensured adequate security and arrangements to manage the large influx of pilgrims and dignitaries.
