Paris Paralympics 2024 : In a historic achievement, the Indian contingent at the Paris Paralympics has delivered its best-ever performance, surpassing its previous medal tally from the Tokyo Paralympics. With 20 medals in hand—comprising 3 gold, 7 silver, and 10 bronze—India has firmly established itself as a rising power in the Paralympic movement.

Among the standout performances, Avani Lekhara shone brightly in shooting, clinching a gold medal, while Mona Agarwal added a bronze. Manish Narwal and Rubina Francis also contributed to India’s medal haul in shooting with a silver and bronze, respectively.

In athletics, Preethi Pal secured two bronze medals, and Nishad Kumar, Yogesh Kathuniya, and Sumit Antil each added a silver, silver, and gold, respectively, to India’s impressive tally. Notable performances also came from Deepthi Jeevanji, Sharad Kumar, Mariyappan Thangavelu, Ajeet Singh, and Sundar Singh Gurjar, all of whom secured medals in their respective events.
