Her spiritual journey began with a visit to Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, where she offered prayers from outside the sanctum, adhering to temple traditions.

Recognizing her devotion, Niranjani Akhara bestowed upon Powell Jobs the Hindu name ‘Kamala.’ Speaking to media, Swami Kailashanand explained the sanctity of temple customs: “She is my daughter. According to tradition, only Hindus can touch the Shivling. It is my duty to uphold these principles.” He emphasized the importance of preserving religious heritage while embracing devotees from across the world.
Embracing the Rigors of Kalpavas
Powell Jobs will observe the rigorous Kalpavas for 10 days, a spiritual discipline involving daily bathing in the Ganges, meditation, mantra chanting, and scripture reading. She will consume only satvik food, sleep on the ground, and maintain a simple lifestyle in adherence to ancient practices.

The Maha Kumbh Mela officially commences on January 13 and will continue until February 26.
