Paris, France – Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Paris on Monday to co-chair the prestigious AI Action Summit alongside French President Emmanuel Macron. The visit, which is part of his three-day tour to France before heading to the United States, aims to strengthen India-France bilateral ties while focusing on artificial intelligence (AI), technology, and innovation.

PM Modi shared his excitement upon landing in Paris, posting on X, “Landed in Paris a short while ago. Looking forward to the various programmes here, which will focus on futuristic sectors like AI, tech and innovation.”

Warm Reception and Key Engagements

Upon his arrival, PM Modi received a warm welcome from the Indian diaspora, who gathered outside his hotel to greet him. His visit marks the sixth time he has traveled to France as Prime Minister, reinforcing the strong strategic partnership between the two nations.

During his stay, PM Modi will hold crucial bilateral discussions with President Macron, addressing various economic, technological, and strategic matters. He will also engage with leading business executives and participate in the India-France CEO’s Forum.

AI Action Summit and Bilateral Talks

The highlight of PM Modi’s visit will be his co-chairing of the AI Action Summit on Tuesday. The summit, which will be attended by world leaders, global tech CEOs, and AI experts, aims to foster international collaboration on artificial intelligence for innovation and public welfare.

Speaking ahead of the summit, PM Modi remarked, “I look forward to co-chairing the AI Action Summit, a gathering of world leaders and global tech CEOs, where we will exchange views on a collaborative approach to AI technology for innovation and the larger public good.”

Additionally, PM Modi and President Macron will conduct discussions in both restricted and delegation-level formats. Their meeting will focus on reviewing the progress of the 2047 Horizon Roadmap for the India-France strategic partnership, a long-term framework designed to enhance cooperation in defense, trade, and emerging technologies.

Grand Dinner at Élysée Palace

Later in the evening, President Macron will host a grand dinner at the Élysée Palace in honor of visiting Heads of Government and State. The dinner is expected to be attended by prominent CEOs from the tech industry, along with other distinguished guests who are part of the AI Action Summit.

PM Modi’s visit to France holds great significance in deepening bilateral relations and expanding technological collaborations, especially in AI and digital innovation.
