Tata Motors Launches Tata Curvv ICE Models Starting at ₹9.99 Lakh: A New Era in Mid-Size SUVs
Tata Motors Introduces Tata Curvv ICE Models with Petrol and Diesel Variants; Bookings Open with Deliveries from September 12, 2024
Tata Motors, a leading player in the Indian automotive industry, has unveiled its latest offering, the Tata Curvv mid-size SUV, in both electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) variants. The company has announced that the petrol variant of the Tata Curvv will be available at an attractive introductory price of ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The diesel variant is priced at ₹11.49 lakh, while the DCA variant starts at ₹12.49 lakh. Bookings are now open, with deliveries scheduled to begin from September 12, 2024. These introductory prices will remain valid until October 31, 2024.
Designed to compete with popular models like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Kia Seltos, the Tata Curvv stands out with its striking coupe SUV design and premium features. The interior of the Curvv mirrors the luxurious feel of the Curvv EV, featuring a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 9-speaker JBL audio system. Additional amenities include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and an air purifier. Safety is also a priority, with six airbags standard on all trims, and higher variants offering ADAS features, an electronic parking brake, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Under the hood, the Tata Curvv ICE offers three engine options: two turbo petrol units and one diesel engine. The 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine produces 118 bhp and 170 Nm of torque, while the brand-new 1.2-litre T-GDI turbo petrol engine delivers 123 bhp and 225 Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre diesel engine generates 113 bhp and 260 Nm of peak torque. Notably, the Curvv ICE becomes the first diesel car in its segment to offer a dual-clutch automatic transmission, with a choice between a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
